Damian Gocół - Maria Curie-Skłodowska University, Lublin

PhD in linguistics, assistant at the Department of Semantics, Pragmatics and Theory of Language at Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin, publishing editor, journalist. He serves as deputy editor-in-chief of “Pismo Folkowe”, awarded the Oskar Kolberg Award 2020 in the category for people and institutions working for folk culture. He co-edits two publishing series (“Gawędy o kulturach” and “EtnoBiblioteka”), is the author of several dozen scientific and popular publications, and is an executor in grant projects financed by the National Humanities Development Program and the Visegrad Fund. He is a member of, among others, the Ethnolinguistic Commission at Linguistics Committee of the Polish Academy of Sciences, the Polish Ethnological Society, the International Organization of Folk Art. He deals with the topics of oral history, memory studies, traditional culture and media.
